Master Planning for this recreational resort development included road
layout and design, a hotel, single family residences, muti-family residences, an equestrian center, with associated trails, a outdoor commercial shopping mall along a creek, tennis center,  The project involved a series of trails for walking, hiking, biking,  cross- country skiing, and downhill skier trails.  These trails needed to be coordinated. The objective of this project was to design a multi-use resort development that would attain destination status for an area that was only a short drive from  Denver.

The Des Peres Square study was an overall shopping center upgrade and landscape improvement project. The study evaluated the existing parking lot design and plantings for recommend improvements as well as making architectural recommendations. It was determined that the trees were suffering from a combination of lack of water during the summer months and wet flooding conditions in the spring. The clay soil resulted in poor drainage conditions. Recommendations were made to remove the trees with stunted growth, installed a drainage system, and replacing the poor soil.

Lourdes Hospital had been through several design proposals for the serenity garden designed previous to my involvement on the project. Three different schematic designs were presented to the hospital, and one was selected. The design was developed and construction drawing was completed. The garden design created a major outdoor patio space connected to the cafeteria entrance and a loop walkway with the seating areas and a special nooks created for the display of sculptures. A small fountain with bubbler was incorporated in the design. Grading and drainage, lighting, and landscape design were all addressed in this project.

Real estate developers requested a professional landscape design for the renovation of this strip shopping mall on Manchester Road in Warson Woods. The design utilized drought and pollution resistant plant materials, including Bradford pear, Juniper, magnolia species, ornamental grasses, taxus species, and the Japanese Zelkova tree. The design incorporated annual planting areas for seasonal color in addition to Iris and wild geranium perennials. Although an upgrade to an ongoing maintenance program would be desirable, the overall project is an example of a successful design after several years in place.
