MEET
Marquita Auffenberg
I am a graduate of the University of Virginia’s School of Architecture (1978), holding a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. Over the course of my career, I have designed and managed a wide range of projects across the country, including Aspen, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; Chicago, Illinois; and Fairfield County, Connecticut (Ridgefield and Greenwich). My work spans both residential and commercial design, with expertise in creating timeless, functional, and inspiring outdoor environments. From intimate children’s gardens and community spaces to resort-related landscapes, golf course community signage, and corporate design, I bring a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to every project. Skilled in AutoCAD and experienced in collaborating with architects, engineers, planning consultants, interior designers, contractors, and suppliers, I provide seamless project management—from conceptual design through final construction. I believe in blending creativity with practicality, ensuring each design not only enhances its environment but also enriches the lives of the people who experience it.
Whether installing a garden with an intuitive and gentle touch or overseeing a large-scale commercial development, my goal is always the same: to create meaningful landscapes that balance beauty, functionality, and a deep respect for nature.
